I'm off on another adventure trip, this time to Tanzania - the Northern Safari Circuit of Tarangire, Serengieti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Natron National Parks; departing 28th October returning 14th November. These areas are famed for their wildlife, and the large number of animals and birds. I've travelled on safari extensively in Southern Africa, but this is the first time in this part of the continent. If anyone has any experience of the region I'd be pleased to receive comments and advice.

Preparations for the trip are proving quite complex this time because of the amount of camera equipment that is being taken. Conditions are likely to be a bit tougher than in previous safaris as we are under canvas for 14 nights in a row, the daytime temperatures are high and the savannah likely to be very dry and dusty. Thus, everything needs to be well protected. In addition, I'm practising my wildlife photography skills by trying to photograph playful dogs in the local park, and model aircraft being flown at a nearby arena.

Because of all these preparations, I'm not likely to be around here on DA as much as usual until mid November, although I have a couple of things to do before I fly off.

Cheers

David
