The Infrared-Club (Extra-Visible Imaging) is happy to present the Best of March 2015.

NEWS

New Members: Please Welcome Saifers :iconsaifers: boronk :iconboronk: DanikaMilles :icondanikamilles: fuchsianinja :iconfuchsianinja:

Feature Groups: Members may be interested to know that there are a number of Groups in DeviantArt that collect and feature Features, like this one. Two such Groups are TandemFeatures :icontandemfeatures: and All-about-features :iconall-about-features:  Our Group is affiliated with TandemFeatures If you have any Journals/Features that you want to promote then these Groups are worth joining.

UV Work: I am pleased to see to works this month that include Ultra-Violet (UV) photography. The first is from :devdavidkenard: illustrating the same flower photographed in visible, UV, and IR light. This is well worth viewing by all members to study the differences, the UV shot indicating a "nectar guide". The second image comes from the indefatigable Mike :devmikeschawarz:. His shot is into the surreal aspects of UV and presents quite a contrast to our "normal" IR view of plants.

More Please!

BEST INFRARED IMAGES

There was a fair number of submissions this month across the spectrum (so to speak) of subject areas, but with a focus on people and 'scapes. Two contributors deserve special mention eprowe and RuralCrossroads360 for sets of excellent images. We have tried to give a good sample of their works below, but members are urged check out the Home Pages of these photographers.

BEST EXPOSURE TECHNIQUE IMAGES

We have been spoilt for choice this month with the quality of submissions to the Exposure Techniques Folder, and we wish to make special mention of farigiovanni and The-Egg for sets of superb images. Only two each of these works have been included below and members are urged to check out the full set in the folder infrared-club.deviantart.com/g… and/or visit these guys directly.

There have been some hard decisions made this month about what to include in both the Infrared and Exposure Technique features. For those who have missed out this month, I can only say that the quality of work submitted has been very high.

My thanks as always to all members and to all who have submitted work over the last month. Especial thanks to mIkeschwaRz :iconmikeschwarz: for his help in choosing images.

Cheers

Thanks for featuring one of my images! I'm hoping to do some more comparisons now more flowers are out, but really need weather that isn't windy (makes focusing too difficult) and isn't rainy / foggy either (don't want to get my UV pass filter wet).

Great selection of other images too.
