Victorian IR 1 Mount William Trees

Shot on the road near the summit of Mt William in the Grampian Mountains of Victoria, Australia at about 3000 ft above sea level, this is a classic monochrome infrared shot acquired by using an R72 filter on the lens of my converted Canon 40D. The sky was a beautiful clear and deep blue, indicating no or very low levels of infrared light were present, and this is rendered as black to dark grey in the infrared image. However, there was plenty of direct sunlight on the foliage of the trees, rendering them as the classic "white" foliage of infrared photography. Overall, this is a high contrast monochrome infrared shot.
