Surreal Water and Woodland 6

A set of long exposure infrared images from burns and woods near my country cottage in Scotland. I used a "Big Stoppa" ND 1000 glass filter to cut down light and an R72 infrared filter on my full spectrum converted Canon 40D. A glass neutral density filter is necessary as Cokin "organic glass" filters are transparent to infrared light. Software used was Canon's Digital Photo Professional and the Gimp. Standard editing was used: some sharpening, local contrast enhancement and, as this is IR work, some of the images have undergone a red/blue channel swap. I was minded to carry out this work as my good friend LindArtz has noted that surreal landscapes are in short supply for photomanip work. Here are some, Linda, with which to play!
I have used an HDR approach in this image - 3 shots combined with Photomatix Pro. The Okavanga Effect seen in Image 5 has been deliberately suppressed.
