Surreal Water and Woodland 4

A set of long exposure infrared images from burns and woods near my country cottage in Scotland. I used a "Big Stoppa" ND 1000 glass filter to cut down light and an R72 infrared filter on my full spectrum converted Canon 40D. A glass neutral density filter is necessary as Cokin "organic glass" filters are transparent to infrared light. Software used was Canon's Digital Photo Professional and the Gimp. Standard editing was used: some sharpening, local contrast enhancement and, as this is IR work, some of the images have undergone a red/blue channel swap.
