IR - Blazing Log

My studies of the IR effect in fires continues. This shot of a log burning in my stove illustrates what appears to be real colour in the flames. Looking at the spectral response curve for the sensors in that Canon series (check out the Technical Folder in R72 Group), the colours suggest a specific band of IR radiation between about 750 nm and 770 nm is responsible.
