Free-Flowing Forms - Rhoddie Bloom

Long exposure photography where the photographer controls camera movement leads to some interesting images, varying from abstract forms to fairly well defined subjects.

Each of the images in this series has been made by photographing flowers, plants, or trees, with exposure times of normally 2 seconds. Post processing, via the Gimp, has been minimal - tidying up some dust bunnies and adding a little local contrast enhancement.

This shot has had only slight movement through the whole exposure, and retains much of the basic character of the rhododendron bloom.
